It’s only September, but Wiregrass Electric Cooperative has tinsel, candy canes and elves on the brain. It’s time for WEC’s annual Christmas Card Art Contest.
WEC wants little artists in kindergarten through fifth grade to enter for the chance to win one or several prizes. The winning design will be featured on the 2022 WEC Christmas card and on the cover of the December issue of Alabama Living, with credit given to the budding artist. All students entering the contest will receive a gift from WEC.
The overall first-place winner will receive 30 printed cards featuring his or her artwork to mail to family and friends and decorate the fridge. The talented winner will also receive a $50 gift certificate to Michaels craft supply store to encourage creativity. The winning design will be featured on the 2022 WEC Christmas card and the cover of the December issue of Alabama Living, with credit given to budding artist.
Second- and third-place winners will each receive a $25 Michaels gift card. In addition, one winner from each school will receive a $10 gift card. All students entering the contest will receive a gift from WEC.
Please see the flyer and entry form in your September edition of Alabama Living magazine. Additional entry forms may be available at your child’s school. The deadline to enter is October 3, and the winner will be announced by November 11.
