Bethany Retherford

Bethany Retherford began her career at Wiregrass Electric Cooperative in 2011, where she has steadily advanced within the Human Resources department. Currently serving as Vice President of Human Resources & Administrative Services, Bethany is responsible for overseeing critical HR functions, including employee relations, compensation, benefits, payroll, performance management, safety, and wellness programs. Additionally, she ensures that the cooperative's administrative operations run smoothly and efficiently. Bethany holds a Master of Science in Human Resource Management from Troy University and is an alumna of both the Leadership Dothan Program and the Alabama Leadership Initiative Program. Her commitment to professional excellence was recognized in 2022 when she was named one of the" Top 20 Under 40" by the Dothan Area Chamber of Commerce. Her commitment to workforce and community development is reflected in her service on the Southeast Alabama Workforce Development Board, the WIOA Board, and the Wiregrass Children’s Home Board. Outside of her professional achievements, Bethany has been married to her husband Craig for over 20 years, and they have a daughter named Paige.
