ATTENTION ALL WEC MEMBERS:
With cold weather expected again this week, WEC wants to remind you to be aware of you energy usage and how it can affect your power bill.

As temperatures drop, the amount of energy required to maintain a steady temperature in your home increases, even if you never raise your thermostat.

Because of that, many of our members may see increase in their electric usage when temperatures are low, as they have been for much of this winter. This can cause energy bills to be higher than expected.

There are a few things you can do to stay aware of your home's energy usage:

1) Lower your thermostat to 68 degrees or less and wear warm clothing indoors. The lower the temperature in your home, the less energy is required to maintain that temperature.

2) Only open exterior doors as often as necessary to keep heat from escaping.

3) View your electricity usage with a free web tool from WEC. Visit our website (www.wiregrass.coop) and go to "My Account" and enter your member number to see how the weather affects your energy consumption each day.

You can find more tips on saving energy at www.wiregrass.coop/conserve/.

If you have any further questions about your bill, please call us anytime at (800) 239-4602. We're ready to take your call 24-7.
