WEC would like to congratulate State Rep. Donnie Chesteen for being selected as the State Representative of the Year by the Alabama Rural Electric Cooperative Association.
Rep. Chesteen has done amazing work this past year to help start our broadband initiative. He also played a pivotal role in bringing the Geneva Regional Career Technical Center to Geneva County.
This is a huge honor for one of our local representatives and one our cooperative is extremely excited about.
This is the second year in a row, one of our local state legislatures has been named state representative of the year by AREA with Rep. Paul Lee being selected as the 2017 recipient.
We are so blessed to have such great legislative representatives at the state and national level representing our Wiregrass area and we value the positive relationships our cooperative has with our political leaders.
