Wiregrass Electric Cooperative Recognizes Vendors and Partners for Support During Hurricane Isaias Restoration

Cooperative expresses appreciation for the companies, crews and support personnel who helped
restore power and assist communities following the storm

HARTFORD, Alabama — Following the successful restoration of power to all members who could
safely receive service after Hurricane Isaias, Wiregrass Electric Cooperative (WEC) is extending its
appreciation to the vendors, contractors, mutual aid crews and community partners who played an
important role in the cooperative's recovery efforts.

Hurricane Isaias caused widespread damage throughout WEC's service territory, requiring an extensive
and coordinated response. Over 400 personnel, including WEC employees, contractors, mutual aid
crews and support teams, worked together to repair damaged infrastructure and restore electricity to
thousands of members.

The cooperative is grateful for the contributions of the 45 electric cooperatives that sent mutual aid
crews to help Wiregrass Electric with restoration. Crews traveled many hours, and restoration help
included crews from the following states: South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Illinois, Missouri,
Arkansas, Louisiana, Alabama, Maryland and Texas.

But the outside assistance was not limited to line crews.

"Restoring power following a storm of this magnitude takes more than the dedication of our employees
and line crews. It requires an incredible network of partners working together toward a common goal,"
said Brad Kimbro, chief executive officer of Wiregrass Electric Cooperative. "We are deeply grateful for
the companies and individuals who stepped forward to provide the resources, services and support
necessary to help our communities recover."

Among the valued partners supporting restoration efforts were CFK Services, a veteran-owned
company; Taylors International; MLU Services; and Macro Companies, a LEMOINE Company. These
organizations provided essential support services that helped sustain the large-scale restoration operation
and allowed crews to remain focused on safely restoring electricity to WEC members.

While line crews worked throughout the service territory repairing damaged power lines and equipment,
behind-the-scenes support was equally important. Coordinating personnel, providing accommodations
and logistical services, and ensuring crews had the resources needed to continue their work were critical
components of the restoration effort.

"During a major storm response, there are so many people working behind the scenes whose
contributions may not always be visible to our members," Kimbro said. "From the crews in the field to
the companies providing essential support services, every person played a role in helping us restore
power. We want these partners to know how much their hard work and commitment meant to our
cooperative and the communities we serve."

WEC also extends its sincere appreciation to its members and the surrounding communities for their
patience, encouragement and support throughout the restoration process.

"The response to Hurricane Isaias demonstrated the strength of cooperation and the importance of
relationships built long before a storm arrives," Kimbro said. "We are fortunate to have dependable
partners who answer the call when they are needed most. On behalf of Wiregrass Electric Cooperative,
our employees and our members, thank you to everyone who helped make this restoration effort
possible."
