5 Major Steps to Restore Power

1. Transmission Lines

   Main distribution lines are then checked. These lines carry power to groups of consumers, such as towns or developments

   After main lines, crews repair tap lines that bring power to utility poles or underground transformers near homes or businesses.
   
5. Individual Homes
   Finally, power is restored to individual homes and businesses. Sometimes, damage occurs on the service line between a house and the nearby transformer, requiring additional repairs.
