Operation Round Up Scholarships

It’s that time of the year to consider your future in higher education or technical training — and how to pay for it.

Throughout the year, our members generously volunteer to round up their monthly bills to the next dollar, so our Operation Round Up Foundation is able to provide scholarships each year.

Who can apply?

Wiregrass Electric Cooperative (WEC) members and their dependent children (including legal guardianship) are eligible.

Traditional students

College-bound high school seniors attending a public, private or home-school.

Nontraditional students

Students planning to attend an accredited institution in Alabama who meet at least 1 of these criteria: delayed enrollment into postsecondary education; financially independent for financial aid purposes; have dependents other than a spouse or are single parents.

Aspiring lineworkers

Students who want to enroll in Wallace Community College’s Pre-Apprentice Electrical Lineworker program and demonstrate a financial need.

Deadline to apply is April 10.
