This holiday season, the young artists of the Wiregrass community have once again impressed us with their creativity and festive spirit. Wiregrass Electric Cooperative (WEC) is excited to announce the winners of its 2024 Christmas Card Art Contest.
Each participating school also selected a winner to receive a $10 gift card, spreading holiday cheer across the Wiregrass community.
Congratulations to all participants and winners — you’ve made this season a little brighter for everyone.
The creativity and imagination shown by these young artists are truly inspiring. Each entry was filled with unique ideas and warmth that captured the joy of the holiday season. We're proud to showcase their talent and spread a little extra cheer throughout the Wiregrass Community." — Jennifer Ward, WEC’s public relations and communications manager

Walker’s design — featuring a bucket truck and power pole adorned with colorful lights, a reindeer, and Santa’s sleigh — is the face of WEC’s annual Christmas card this year. It also graces the cover of this issue of Alabama Living with the message: “Keeping Christmas Bright! Merry Christmas from Wiregrass Electric Cooperative.” Walker received 30 printed cards of his artwork to share with loved ones, plus a $50 gift certificate to Michaels.

Madilynn’s creative entry features an animated Santa in lineman’s gear, operating a bucket truck with Rudolph behind the wheel. Her imaginative concept earned her a $25 Michaels gift card.

Stafford’s design shows Santa bending down to plug in Christmas lights, emphasizing how electricity brightens the season. The light bulb at the top is a wonderful touch! He received a $25 gift card for his intricate submission.
