This dedication was recently acknowledged at the 2023 Alabama Rural Electric Association Communications Awards Luncheon, where Jennifer Ward, Wiregrass Electric Cooperative's (WEC) communications and public relations manager, earned the Darryl Gates Cooperative Communicator of the Year Award.
Thanks to Jennifer’s leadership, WEC also collected multiple honors for our annual report to members, digital presence, safety campaign, and yearly calendar.
These accolades serve as proof of our organization’s relentless pursuit of clarity, transparency, engagement, and the well-being of our community.
