The Wiregrass Electric Cooperative (WEC) 2021 Annual Meeting is this month. Here are a few things members should know ahead of this important event:
Meeting Details: The meeting will be broadcast live on Facebook beginning at noon on October 29. Due to coronavirus concerns, all WEC members are encouraged to watch via livestream rather than attending the meeting in person.
Ballot: This year’s ballot features board of trustees candidates for districts 2, 5, and 8. The ballot also features a summary of bylaw changes members need to consider. A list of the proposed changes to the bylaws can be found on our homepage.
Voting: Mail-in votes must be received by WEC’s independent auditor by October 27. In-person voting will occur on October 29 from 10 to 11:30 am at WEC’s headquarters in Hartford.
Prizes: Each member who registers for the annual meeting will receive a $5 bill credit and will be entered into a drawing for prizes worth up to a $500 bill credit!
