Did you know that Wiregrass Electric Cooperative (WEC) is more than a power provider? At WEC, we strive to improve the communities we serve through a variety of methods:
Operation Round Up
The Operation Round Up (ORU) Charitable Foundation collects more than $120,000 annually thanks to members who round up their monthly electric bills to the nearest dollar. ORU donates to several causes like school athletic programs, rural medical clinics, and food pantries. ORU also awards more than 20 scholarships each year.

Economic Development
WEC knows our communities grow when businesses and industries flourish. That’s why WEC has recently funded the construction of a manufacturing facility and encouraged broadband internet development locally. WEC also offers revolving loans that jumpstart business improvement projects and supports several economic development meetings and organizations.
Safety Programs
