Honey and wine There’s an old agricultural proverb: “When it rains in August, it rains honey and wine.” The European proverb refers to the blooming of flowers to feed honeybees and the harvest of grapes to make wine. In other words, nourishing rains in August lead to a good harvest — honey and wine.

Happy retirement, my friend. One person’s impact may not always be known to everyone who benefits from it.
