    Your unique identifier with WEC, including name and billing address.
  2. Distribution Expense
    The cost of maintaining and operating the electricity distribution system. This is a fixed monthly charge for all residential accounts.
  3. Minimum Demand Expense
    A fixed charge of $6, which represents the 3-kilowatt base demand for all residential accounts.
  4. Excess Demand Expense
    A new line item that reflects charges for electric demand above 3 kW during the peak-demand day in winter. This charge will be the same every month for a year, based on your meter’s precise demand reading on that peak day.
  5. Basic Energy Charge
    Reflects total kilowatt-hours used, multiplied by the rate per kWh.
  6. Power Cost Adjustment
    A variable item that can either be a charge or a credit, reflecting changes in the cost to generate or purchase power.
  7. Alabama Utility Tax
    A 9% tax is applied to the total electric bill, as per state regulations.
  8. Operation Round Up Foundation
    An optional charitable program where members can round up their bills to the nearest dollar, with the extra going to community projects and initiatives in the Wiregrass.
  9. Total Amount Due
    The final amount you need to pay, including all charges, taxes, and optional programs.
  10. Monthly Energy Use Comparison
    Information that helps you track and compare your electricity use month-to-month.
  11. Daily Average of kWh Usage
    Averages your monthly use into a daily figure, helping you understand your daily consumption patterns.

    Any critical updates or messages from WEC to keep you informed.
