Board Meetings

The purpose of a Board of Trustee’s Meeting is to conduct business of the Cooperative. In order to run an efficient and timely meeting, the Board requests your assistance in adhering to the following Rules of Conduct and Meeting Protocol.

Management Resolution

Wiregrass Electric Cooperative’s Chief Executive Officer and his staff are available to schedule a meeting with any member to resolve any problems or to address any concerns.

Rules of Conduct

1. Guests not adhering to the rules of conduct and/or meeting protocol may be asked to leave the meeting.
2. Individuals offering comment are not permitted to make personal attacks on any employee of the cooperative, Board member, or any other member of the cooperative.
3. Profanity is not allowed.
4. Guests are not permitted to engage in conduct that interferes with the ability of the Board to conduct its business.
5. Guests should turn off all cell phones, pagers, or other electronic devices.
6. No recording devices are allowed.

Meeting Protocol

After the speaker has addressed the Board, the Board will take items raised under advisement.

The Chair of the Board conducts the meeting.

Guests are not allowed to address the Board unless registered as a speaker. Speakers will register their name, address, telephone number, and email address in the meeting’s logbook prior to the start of the meeting.

Once a speaker has been recognized by the Chair, the speaker has 5 minutes to make their comments.

Speakers are required to stand at the podium when addressing the Board.
